Brilliant news for the future of Banbury School and the community
The vision of a school for the 21st century will become a reality after it was announced by Oxfordshire County Council that, under the Building Schools for the Future programme, the government will invest approximately £60 million to refurbish or rebuild and enhance technology in four schools in the county. Banbury School has been named as one of these schools and is expected to receive approximately £17 million with the aim of raising educational achievement by providing world class learning facilities, inspiring young people to realise their potential and providing closer links with the community.
Principal, Dr Fiona Hammans said: "Banbury School fully supports Oxfordshire County Council in pursuing BSF to transform education across the authority and in Banbury town. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make an impact in our community and more widely." Read more…PDF
