AS and A2 Biology Course structure Both AS and A2 have a similar set-up, each with two teaching modules and each with practical coursework.
The teaching modules are examined externally whilst the coursework module is centre assessed.
At AS, the emphasis is on how Biologists work and the contributions of Biology to society.
At A2, the AS approach continues with additional sections summarising synoptic principles.
