On 26 March 2009, Year 9 Media students, who have been working with the BBC, will bring you exclusive news of events happening in the school, in the community, across the UK and around the world.
In the meantime, if you've a great idea for a story, please pass it onto Mrs Nicholls, Head of English.
On 26 March 2009, the students will graduate as BBC School Reporters. On this News Day they will join hundreds of other schools around the UK to make the news.
BANBURY SCHOOL BBC NEWS SCHOOL REPORT PRACTICE DAY: 03 MARCH 2009 This is the second practice day for our budding school reporters. Today we are concentrating on presenting the news…
Here is the News...
Today student reporters are learning how to put a news programme together using state-of-the-art software to edit and create a news bulletin from their raw captured footage. Over the past few months the students have been busy, on behalf of BBC School News Report, interviewing and recording local news stories and now have a chance to present their films in a ‘mock studio.’
The mock studio has been set up using a ‘green screen’ as a backdrop, which will enable the team to show the news and pictures in the background. The students have written their own scripts which have been set up on an auto cue for the reporters to read from as they present the news.
We expect to have a few of the presentations ready for you to view by 4.00pm today!
So see you then.
