Sixth Form Leavers to do Charity Work
We interviewed Douglas Alexander, the Secretary of State for International Development. We talked to him about the new scheme that pays for sixth form leavers to go and do charity work in less advantaged countries. We asked him what it was, why it has taken place and how it will affect those on the receiving end.
We also interviewed Barbara Stocking, the Chief Executive of aid agency Oxfam, on her views on the new scheme and what she thought on children doing voluntary work in the Oxfam charity shops around the country.
