The closure of old Stanbridge and Grand Opening Ceremony for new Stanbridge
13 March 2009
Guests outside old Stanbridge after the closing ceremony
We were very lucky to have Councillor Tony Crabbe, Chairman of Oxfordshire County Council close the old building and Michael Gove MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families open the new building. Michael Gove MP
Many past pupils of old Stanbridge attended the ceremony and enjoyed sharing their memories of schooldays here. All our current students were also asked to write their memories of Stanbridge. The best 100 will be placed in a time capsule which will then be buried at a later date. The old time capsule that was buried at Stanbridge in the year 2000 was relocated to the new building and reburied by Tony Baldry MP. Tony Baldry MP
Banbury School acknowledges with gratitude the help of all individuals and companies with their sponsorship and donations for the new Stanbridge building.
